Student Council Elections

"A leader is the one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way"

Elections for the School Captains and Vice Captains- were held on 19th April and 22nd April respectively. These elections provided an opportunity for the students of Grades 8-12 to witness and exercise their fundamental right to vote.

The objective of appointing the Student Council is to provide a platform for the students to develop leadership qualities by organizing and carrying out school activities and service projects.  In addition to planning events that contribute to school spirit and community welfare, the Student Council is the voice of the student body.  They help share student ideas, interests, and concerns with the school-wide community.

In the preliminary round, candidates who had filed nominations were asked to give a speech to present their case on why they should be elected for the posts they had stood for. This was followed by the students voting.

The Apex Committee consisting of Sister Daliya David, Sister Sajeeva, and Ms Ruby Ignatious selected the candidates for voting on the virtue of their merit and as per the requirement of the selection criteria. Eight students were nominated for the elections, out of which four were elected for the post of captain and vice-captain. They will be conferred with sashes and badges in the investiture ceremony to be held in July 2024.
